About the Silicon Valley/South Bay Chapter

  • This chapter was founded in 2011 by Liane Wong and Marjorie Fujiki.

  • AAPIP Silicon Valley was founded after nearly a year of planning, outreach and regional programming to engage current members and reach out to a range of potential new donors, professionals and organizations. An exploratory committee was formed in early 2010, composed of staff from Silicon Valley based funders, corporations and community based organizations.

  • This year we are focusing on development of joint programming with our AAPIP Bay Area partners, completion of Silicon Valley Asian Pacific donor research and engagement project, launch of at least one Silicon Valley based Giving Circle, and a formal chapter launch event in the fall. We will also continue to expand our organizing committee.
