REGISTER NOW FOR MINNESOTA ASIAN AMERICAN/ PACIFIC ISLANDER PHILANTHROPY PROFESSIONALS FOCUS GROUP
We are writing today to extend a special invitation to you to participate in an MCF focus group of your peers on August 9, 2010 2:30-4:30 p.m. This focus group is a part of our 2010 Working Toward Diversity and Inclusion Research Project. For a quick link to focus group details and the sign up form, please click here
In brief, this session is one of several focus groups that MCF is conducting with our members who represent different types of organizations and different populations. The voices of you and other members are needed to deepen our knowledge and understanding of successes and challenges related to diversity and inclusivity in the field of philanthropy. Information gathered through these focus groups will complement data compiled from a related online survey of MCF organizational members.
The focus group will be led by MCF Diversity Fellow Tawanna Black. She will ask questions about strengths and opportunities that Minnesota grant makers face related to fulfilling the MCF Diversity Principle and invite discussion about becoming more effective grant makers within the context of the MCF Diversity Framework. All information gathered will be kept confidential and will be reported in aggregate and anonymously (unless you give express, written permission for attribution of a particular perspective or example).
As a member of Asian Americans/ Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy, you are receiving this invitation and we encourage you to share it with others who represent this demographic segment. This focus group is only open to Asian American/ Pacific Islander professionals who work for an MCF member organization. Because space is limited, you must register in advance to participate in the focus group. When you visit the web link you’ll notice information about the other research focus groups. If you or someone else in your organization is interested in participating in any of the demographic group discussions (Young Professionals, Hispanic/Latino Professionals, African American Professionals, Asian American Professionals, Native American Professionals, and LGBT Professionals), please sign up, forward the link, or let us know.
